JANUARY 11, 2026 SERVICE CHANGE
Madison County Transit (MCT) will be implementing its January Service Change on Sunday, January 11, 2026. The adjustments will improve reliability, convenience, and access across the region.
Below is a summary of all the changes.
Service Adjustments Effective Sunday, January 11
Weekday and weekend service will be extended to approximately 7:40 p.m.
Routing around Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey will be adjusted due to multi-year campus construction project. As a result, some adjustments to times will also be made.
The #12 Bethalto Shuttle will be discontinued. Riders in this area may be served by MCT Micro- Bethalto | Cottage Hills.
No longer considered an “express” route, the #13X is being renamed to the #14 Highland- SIUE. All times and stops remain the same.
No longer considered an “express” route, the #20X is being renamed to the #20 Gateway Commerce Center- Emerson Park.
Service along Main Street between Collinsville Station and IL-157 will be removed due to very low ridership. This area will continue to be served by MCT Micro- Collinsville.
In addition to the above changes, effective January 1, 2026, all service to/from St. Clair county will be reclassified as “Local” trips and charge $1. Therefore, all trips in Madison County AND St. Clair County will be “Local” trips and will be $1. All trips to St. Louis will be “Express” trips and cost $3.
