WAYS TO PAY
There are various ways to pay your fare when riding MCT. Check out the options below and find the best fare method for you.
MCT Local Fare … $1 .00
Trips within Madison County.
MCT Regional Fare … $3.00
Trips to or from St. Clair County or St. Louis.
MCT 2-Hour Regional Pass … $3.00
Valid for unlimited multi-directional rides on all MCT fixed routes, all MetroBus routes and all MetroLink trains for two hours from purchase. No transfers or upgrades issued on this pass.
MCT Day Pass … $5.00
Valid on all MCT fixed-route buses for the full calendar day on which it is purchased.
Tokens
Madison County Transit sells $1 bus tokens in rolls of 25. MCT bus tokens are valid on all MCT buses and can be used toward the cash fare of a trip, or the purchase of an MCT on-board pass.
MCT tokens are particularly beneficial for agencies, institutions, and other service organizations seeking to meet the transportation needs of their patrons.
MCT Local Monthly Pass … $40.00
Valid on all MCT Local Routes for the month in which it is purchased.
MCT System Monthly Pass … $70.00
Valid on all MCT routes for the month in which it is purchased.

The Student Monthly Pass is just $15 per month.
Student Monthly Passes can be purchased as early as the 15th of the month prior to the month for which it is purchased.
You can purchase a Student Monthly Pass in person at the MCT Main Office in Pontoon Beach with cash or card. Or, over the phone 618-797-4600.

How do I use a Student Monthly Pass?
- Board the bus and show your pass to the driver.
- A student ID may be requested with your pass.
- Take a seat and ride all month long.
- Keep your Student Monthly Pass in a safe place. MCT is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged passes.
- Passes will not be accepted if torn or defaced.

Valid for unlimited rides on all MCT buses for seven calendar days from the first activation.

Metro Monthly System Pass … $78.00
Valid on all MCT fixed routes, on all Metro bus routes and MetroLink. To purchase, visit www.metrostlouis.org. Not valid on Muny Express.
Metro Weekly Pass … $27.00
Valid on all MCT fixed routes, on all Metro bus routes and MetroLink. To purchase, visit the MetroRide Store in downtown St. Louis. Not valid on Muny Express.
