MCT OFFERS STUDENT BUS PASSES AGAIN THIS SCHOOL YEAR
MCT Student Monthly Passes Now Available for Sale
GRANITE CITY, ILL., August 17, 2017 . . . Madison County Transit (MCT) is once again offering the Student Monthly Pass for the 2017-2018 school year.
Students in Kindergarten through 12th grade using a Student Monthly Pass have access to unlimited rides for an entire calendar month on any MCT Shuttle,
MCT Cross County or MCT Regional routes in Madison County. September passes went on sale this week and can be purchased for $20 each month.
“The Student Monthly Pass is an affordable option for families in Madison County during the school year,” said Jerry Kane, MCT Managing Director.
“Many students rely on the pass to access after-school jobs, co-op programs and extracurricular activities throughout the year.”
Student Monthly Passes are available September thru May. During the summer, students can take advantage of MCT’s free Summer Youth Pass program.
Ridership on the pass program, which continues through Labor Day, will eclipse 40,000 boardings before the summer is over.
The Student Monthly Pass can be purchased in the following ways:
Individuals purchasing passes in person can visit the Main Office at One Transit Way, Granite City, IL 62040. Office hours for pass purchases
are Monday – Friday 8:30 am until 4:00 pm. The equivalent fare media for adults, the MCT Local Monthly Pass, is available for $50 a month.

Madison County Transit (MCT) provides multi-modal transportation services for Madison County, Illinois. MCT operates a fixed-route bus service,
connecting to MetroLink; express weekday commuter service directly to and from downtown St. Louis; and seasonal express service to the Muny.
For elderly and disabled residents who are unable to use the fixed-route buses, MCT provides complementary door to door service. MCT is also
responsible for the construction and maintenance of more than 130 miles of bikeways that comprise the MCT Trails system, as well as overseeing
RideFinders, the St. Louis region’s FREE carpooling and vanpooling program.
