The MCT bus that travels closest to Fairmont City is the #18 Collinsville Metrobus. It goes from Collinsville Station, along Collinsville Road, and turns on Black Lane, traveling on I-55/70 to the 5th & Missouri MetroLink Station.

I think they should always have a Youth Pass for us Kids/Teenagers. Cause for some of us kids/Teenagers don't have alot of money. Like if a little boy or girl need's to use the MCT and doesn't have money they can just use the Youth Pass.

Is there a bus that goes to Fairview Heights? I could find clues on one of those buses, and we need to go out to the mall later this summer...
June 16, 2008 1:35 PM
From: MCT
The MetroBus '16 St. Clair Square' goes from MCT's Collinsville Transit Station to Fairview Heights. Please be aware that the MCT Summer Youth Pass is not valid on MetroBuses, and the Operation MCT clues can only be found on MCT buses.

The schedule is a little confusing for me. Our family may go to a Cards game. What bus number goes to downtown St. Louis, and how frequent is service there from the Edwardsville Bus Station?
July 8, 2008 3:10 PM
From: MCT
MCT does not operate bus service directly to Cardinal's games. Depending on the game time and your location, you may have several options. For specific bus routes, call (618) 931-7433, Option #3.

I live by the Edwardsville station. Which bus # from Edwardsville goes closest to the Busch Stadium? I know that MCT buses go to downtown St. Louis, but I just need to know how close the nearest downtown MCT stop is from the Cards stadium, because if it's only a mile or 2 away we could just walk from the bus stop. It's OK with my family if we have to walk up to a mile to get to the stadium from the bus stop. We like taking family walks. Are there any buses that go within 2 miles from Busch Stadium?
July 9, 2008 8:31 AM
From: MCT
You will need to take the following routes to travel from Edwardsville Station to Busch Stadium:
--#19 Edwardsville-Collinsville from Edwardsville Station to Collinsville Station
--#18 Collinsville Metrobus from Collinsville Station to 5th & Missouri MetroLink Station
--MetroLink to Busch Stadium This will drop you off right across the street from the stadium.

How much money does it cost for my parent to ride with me to the MetroLink Station?
July 15, 2008 9:52 AM
From: MCT
Fare on the #19 from Edwardsville to Collinsville is $1.25. Ask the #19 driver for a transfer. Give the transfer to the #18 driver plus an additional $1.00 and ask for a blue transfer for MetroLink.

We looked at the map of the #16X Edwardsville-Glen Carbon Express, and my Dad and I've decided that we won't need to go to the Emerson Park MetroLink Station and that we can just go directly downtown on the #16X. How much does it cost for my Dad to ride from Edwardsville to downtown St. Louis on the #16X?
July 16, 2008 1:06 PM
From: MCT
It costs $2.00 for your dad to ride the #16X. If you need to transfer to Metro, it will cost you each $0.50 more to buy a transfer.

Is there any fare zone between Edwardsville & St. Louis? We need to get to downtown St. Louis
July 16, 2008 3:50 PM
From: MCT
With an express bus, there are no fare zones. There is flat fare of $2.00 for one way. On a Metrobus, if you only ride within one community, then you pay local fare ($0.75); if you travel from one city to another, you pay an extension fare ($1.25); if you go outside the county, you pay the regional fare ($1.75).

I'm glad there is no fare zone for Express services. Thanks for the info! I can't wait to use my bus pass for the first time this summer! It will be so fun riding for free! I've never ridden MCT before! =D

I ride on the MCT bike trails all of the time, but I can't wait to use MCT's bus service. I've heard great things about their bus service! =D

I'm just curious but is MCT still campaigning for MetroLink to extend to Madison County because I heard a lot about reasearch being done from the years 2000-2005 are they still researching or did they give up that idea? I think it would be great for MetroLink so my dad could go to the airport a lot cheaper than it is to drive. He's a pilot, so it would be very convenient for him.
July 28, 2008 9:47 AM
From: MCT
Thanks for your comments. MCT is not pursuing a MetroLink extension into Madison County at this time.
